i don't have a picture of my husband ring but his is both yellow gold and white gold and it looks very nice he also has a silver one that he wears to work so he doesn't ruin his yellow and white gold one

My dad wears a plain gold ring my mom made him.  I don't have any pictures of it, but it looks great.

My fiance and I just went shopping for his rings as well and I'm the one that encouraged a yellow gold band because my ring is also yellow gold. He originally wanted white gold, however, once he tried on the yellow gold he really liked it. It's very classy and traditional looking, also, we both liked matching. My dad, grandpa, etc. all have gold bands and I just think it's really classy. Also, it seems like white gold is more of a fad that might go out of style. Whatever ring you guys choose I'm sure you'll both love it - it's the meaning that counts more

Thanks to everyone who shared their pictures. It really helped. We're going ring shopping again on Monday. Hopefully it will go better this time.

I know how you feel. I wanted Gary to get a Plat. ring cause mine are but he saw the black ceramic rings and wanted it. I don't really love the black ceramic rings but it's what he wanted so it's what he got.

You know they don't have to match. You don't have to have a plain band. If that's what he wants for his band why not let him? At least a gold ring is classy and elegant and not gaudy and cheap looking like some other ring designs. Maybe he'll feel more comfortable with a plain band as he know it will always be to his tastes?

My FH is not a jewellery person at all, he even hates wearing a watch, so a plain gold band will suit him. Plus he'll feel comfortable wearing it. (But considering hes never worn a ring before he'll have to get use to wearing one.)

I'm actually wearing my grandmother's wedding band which is diamonds set in platinum and edged with yellow gold so there was no chance of our bands matching.
