Why does he want it?
I wear french-cuffed shirts a lot and am tired of all my cufflinks. Plus cufflinks are one of the few areas in mens fashion where guys get to have any fun. Ties can be fun if you think wearing a tie is fun which I generally don't.

Awesome and subtle
A new luxury men's brand, Armrevolution, has come out with 6 different modern designs for cufflinks (or Arm architecture as they call them). Made of japanese steel, they average about $750.00 USD a pair. They come with great packaging and a nice site to boot....
These cufflinks are a little geeky, a little subtle, but for those who get it, you'll definately get a smile. They have the "power" and "play" symbols on them. Anyone who's into tech-y cufflinks, will like them.
