These shoes are promoting the natural barefoot walking biomechanics of the foot. Not sure if I like them yet; I've tried them on the toes are a bit strange feeling, but I've heard that once you get used to them they're revolutionary. Time magazine named these one of the best inventions of 2008.

These are supposed to emulate the feeling of walking around without shoes while protecting your feet. You know you want these. Hippie. ;)
OK -- for barefoot shoe junkies, these are the latest thing. Vivo Barefoot shoes were developed by an heir to the Clarks of England company -- a rebellion against structured shoes! They are very, very well-designed and awfully nice to look at. I can't comment on the sturdiness, as mine were too small and I had to send them back. That said, they were very neat to wear around the house!
