Since I will be left iPhone-less in a few weeks and there's a good chance I'll be unemployed this summer, I'm going to need a laptop to do all my job hunting on. Mac or PC? I'm not sure...

Refurbished MacBooks are the best deal around! I can't live without my 15" MacBook -- after years of slogging PC laptops around (and having the screen break off on two of them), I'm convinced of the superior quality of a Mac, not just in software but hardware and construction, too.
