Why does she want it?
OK fellow bookworms I need your help! I'm heading off for a week on an island off the Maine coast and need a great book to keep me company. I devour books so if it's recently out in paperback that's a plus. Long is also important- I can chow through 100 pages an hour if the writing isn't too dense. I'll read almost anything as long as it's good- although I'm not looking to take on Ulysses or Infinite Jest or the like. Keep it kinda beachy, ya know? Think Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson, Shogun by Clavel, The Name of the Rose by Eco... meaty but fun. All genres welcome :)

if you haven't already read this series...there's no excuse for you. there is a reason it became as popular as it did. these are so much fun! great summer reads.
I'm itching to read this. I'm a huge Palahniuk fan.
The Da Vinci Code meets Dracula. A great, suspenseful, LONG, and easy read.
This is a GIANT book, but solid, and well-paced. It's good for many, many hours on the beach, for sure. Definitely for people who like finance, business and white-collar intrigue.
