Facebook User wants an electric bike for $2000

Why does she want it?
Normally, we'd just ride our non-electric bike around places, but where we live now, it can be very dangerous to ride on the roads. So we were thinking that an electric bike or pedal assist bike might give us the power to get up the steep hills and yet be more environmentally sound than driving to the store.
