I need to get a new TV for the house. We have a Samsung 42" LCD and want to go bigger, like 50", and we're not locked into LCD. we want something that looks great for blueray movies, direcTV, and NBA basketball. Thoughts?

Got mine at NewEgg but A/Bed it at Best Buy/Circuit City versus a number of sets. By far THE best 50" Plas out there for the money in my opinion. Blacks are killer, so rich. And Panasonics have one of the best scalers for a standard def signal, so all current programming looks spiffy. I paid $2399 around the holidays for it. $2199 is a solid price from NewEgg and they deliver it right to your living room and unbox it.

One of CNet's most highly recommended LCD TV's it's brilliant and reasonably priced.
