Why does she want it?
I am looking for some good new music for my iPod, and I'm thinking something French would be cool. Not pop -- I like mellow and/or raspy voices like Tom Waits, Cat Power, Aimee Mann, also love Bebel Gilberto for and especially in the summer. I already have Madeleine Peyroux and Carla Bruni, as well as some Brigitte Bardot and Jane Birkin... Any suggestions for me?

This is one of my favorite albums I have purchased in a long time...and I buy allot of albums. Singer/songwriter pop with deft keyboards and piano mixed with percussion and dreamily heartbreaking vocals and lyrics.
very mellow french music; a mixture of several styles--jazz, hip hop, r & b. i really like them.
