I live close enough to work and the beach to bike and I'm getting too many parking tickets. I also like pink. I want to be able to put a basket on it too.

Pretty in pink. This one I got for my granddaughter. She just loves it. And not a bad price either.
When it comes to a bike for cruising around, go vintage! Nothing beats the style of pre-1960's bicycles...except pre-1960's cars. ;) John's Vintage is an excellent vintage bike dealer with tons of knowledge, and a great selection. Plus you get to rescue an old bike, and the satisfaction of knowing that your bike really was built to last!

If you had a can of pink spray paint ($10), you could paint this pink. I bought the KHS Urban Extreme last weekend from BikeAttack (on Main Stret in Santa Monica) and they have lifetime maintenance for free!
This is the ultimate urban bike for a girl. Not only it's pink and good lookin', it's a 21-speed bike, so it's easy to ride both on the beach and on the streets. Or challenge yourself with a little adventure on the mountain roads. And it costs just $170. If it wasn't pink I'd get it for myself.
This is baby blue (no pink) but very cool, and perfect for commuting! It's affordable, too.
