The New Orleans nightlife scene and tourism industry, the city's bread and butter economies, were decimated by Hurricane Katrina.
Their recovery was further hampered by shoddy leadership and harmful national media only reporting the negative aspects of the city's reconstruction.
Despite this, the city, the nightlife, and the tourism industry is returning once again on the shoulders of the people behind the drum sets, and behind the bars, and on the horns, and in the kitchens, serving the food, playing the music, throwing the shows, etc.
All the while, these very same people are struggling to rebuild their homes, as well as their lives.
People are returning to visit New Orleans again because New Orleans is truly one of the most unique cities on this great earth.
The contributions this amazing city and its people have made to the world of music, arts, cuisine, and culture is greater than most cities could ever claim, and that can NEVER be disputed. It must be preserved and protected and ensured survival.
Any contributions made to this cause will go directly toward assisting local musicians, artists, and business through the creation and proliferation of unique New Orleans events, concerts, and shows. Every cent will be documented on this page so you can see directly where your money goes.
