Clean, Sleek, and Elegant

Shelfari for Facebook is probably the cleanest, sleekest, and most elegant book cataloging and rating application around.

However, the tagging system leaves much to be desired as it takes nearly forever* to register a choice. In addition, the lack of a rich feature set, as compared to their online offering, and minuscule user base keeps it from achieving top honors.

Nevertheless, it is the ONLY social book-sharing application that I will use; at least for now.

In a nutshell: The near perfect melding of form and function.

Jasmine's Tortoise
by Maeve at 7:16am on February 20th, 2008
A thriller of murder and an espionage saga of an enduring friendship between three families: Anglo-Indian Roman Catholic traders of Mesopotamia, a Jewish family of Britain and Iraq, and a mixed Suni-Shia clan. Mix all this with an American Jesuit, a murdered British politician and countless MI6, CA and KGB agents.

Gripping intense and thoroughly enjoyable. Jasmines Tortoise is a must read for those who want to understand the history of contemporary events.

Amazing book, scary and still timely.
GREAT APP!
by Taylor at 8:04pm on February 1st, 2008
love the app...simple and sleek, doesn't clutter up the profile. easy to navigate and all the books are in the selection, not just the popular ones. all in all I love it!

but one thing: when you go to settings and change the view so on your profile it shows favorites, it doesn't work. I really want to be able to display my faves.
