We provide many methods of keeping your audience informed about your most recent feed and blog updates. Click the titles below to see more information about each so you can decide what's best for you.
Automatic
Automatic newsfeeds (Tip - Turn on if you want newsfeeds on your wall when you update your feed)
Automatic newsfeeds are set up when you edit your settings.
What are newsfeeds?
Newsfeeds are stories which appear on your page/profile wall and on your friends home pages.
Advantages
Automatic newsfeeds will be sent every time we discover that you have updated your feed/blog.
It means you don't need to use any of the manual update methods unless you wish to.
The newsfeeds sent will always show on your page/profile wall.
Disadvantages
There is no guarantee that the newsfeed will show on your friends home pages. This is up to Facebook.
Recommendations
If you use this feature it is recommended that you allow RSS-Connect to publish specific story sizes automatically without prompting. This gives your stories a better chance of showing on your friends home pages. Follow the instructions below if you wish to do this. The settings can be changed back at any time.
- Hover over settings and click RSS-Connect.

- Select "Allow RSS-Connect to publish specific story sizes automatically without prompting"
- Select "Full" and click "OK".
Subscription service (Tip - Turn on for all your feeds)
The subscription service is set up when you edit your settings.
What is the subscription service?
If you select "Yes" for subscription on any of your feeds, a link will appear at the top of your feed which says "subscribe."
If someone viewing your page/profile likes your feed and wishes to be kept updated regularly with the new stories they click "subscribe."
We will then automatically send newsfeeds to them when your feed has been updated.
The story will link the subscriber to your page/profile and the feed which has been updated.
Advantages
This is the best way of letting your core audience know your feed has been updated.
It's automatic. Once you click "Yes" for subscription you can sit back and relax!
disadvantages
People have to opt in to receive these newsfeeds and can opt-out at any time.
Manual
