Band Bio: The Barrel House Mamas met at Warren Wilson College just outside of Asheville, North Carolina in 2003. They quickly became a hometown favorite and began touring the Southeast for three years. With their robust harmonies, purposeful lyrics, and ecclectic instrumentation, they won the hearts of many. They recorded one album, 'gathering' and traveled from New Orleans to Maryland. Sadly, their paths diverged in the winter of 2008 and the Mamas split into two new entities: The Firefly Revival (Jane Edens and Anna Bauman-Smith) and Underhill Rose (Molly Rose Reed and Eleanor Underhill). Happily, the spirit is still alive with both bands boasting their own style of heart-felt lyrisicm and timeless melodies.
