Band Bio: The rudely healthy and always vivacious youth music scene in East London and Essex is currently being invigorated by a charmingly astute bunch of teenagers, known collectively as ‘STEREO DECADE’. In these times when we’re locking up more teenagers than any other European country and national and local press relentlessly demonise our kids; it comes as such a joy to encounter genuine talent and optimism in ones so young. The majority of “indie-pop” bands these days are highly disposable; STEREO DECADE however, bring something new to the table. Their wonderfully whimsical tunes and catchy lyrics have the listener hooked from the outset. This newly minted, Upminster-based four-piece, who only formed in February of this year, have already begun to make their mark; winning both the Raw Talent 2008 and Havering Rock Band of the Year, opening the mainstage at the London Freeze Festival and selling out London's famous HARD ROCK CAFE!
