Band Bio: Sheenah was born in Lowell, Mass, on December 8th, at Lowell General Hospital; she later moved to Miami, Fl at the age of 1 with her mother (manager). She was discovered to have a tremendous talent for music at the age of 5 when playing the same melody of a song on a toy piano; Later on starting off her career with modeling, acting, and piano lessons from the age of 5-12. At the age of 12 she started her singer/songwriter/dancer career, considered to be a triple threat with a Powerful Pop/Soulful sounding voice, in the Spanish and English music industry. A talent that’s true and expressive definitely defines what Sheenah is all about. This young talent writes her own songs and composes her own melodies, with just hearing a beat in less then one day. Remembering monologues as a hobby and taking pictures with her natural photogenic grace, she has won many competitions and has gotten a lot of recognition, not only in Miami, FL but in N.Y.C, L.A, California, India, Texas, Vegas Nevada, etc. Sheenah attended Norland Middle School of the Arts studying music. She worked very hard during those years and it wasn’t easy. She didn’t know the talent she possessed until her chorus instructor, Ms. Bivens, saw her unique talent for her singing, harmonization skills and ranges. Ms. Bivens asked her why she wasn’t in the top chorus of the school, Sheenah responded because of her voice being to strong to control and not really blending in. Ms. Bivens guided her for a year and eventually got her into the schools best choire (the Sound Waves). During her 8th grade year she failed most tryouts for other magnet schools, to attend for high school because of her neglect in her composition skills and her weakness in reading music. She told her mother that it only made her stronger and that she will focus more on her composition skills and try harder to read music. She decided to attend a normal high school and see what life had to offer her there. Sheenah attended Barbara Goleman Senior High, class of 2004. She was on the water polo team, awarded best rookie of the year, and was also in the swimming team. She played water polo in club teams for Milander Park and FIU(Florida International University). She still made time for dance and music outside of school. Performing on popular Latin channels such as ,channel 41 (America Teve) , channel 9 (Univision) and channel 15 (Telemundo). Still weak in her composition skills and in reading music, Sheenah decided that god gave her an extraordinary ear for music for a reason and that she will just have to train it hard and use it as her ultimate weapon. After graduating high school Sheenah decided to take dance classes in Miami Dade College. To strengthen her dancing skills and train her body and ear to go to the rhythm of any music; jazz, classical, hip hop, old school hip hop, dance, etc. She states, “Music is my passion and it’s what I love, everything starts with a dream and if you have the right attitude and focus, you will reach it sooner or later. That’s why I don’t let anything stand in the way of my dream; I follow my heart and take out any negativity that tries to take me down. Music is not just singing, it’s dancing, showing your emotions through a single step and adding more to that step. Your ear needs to go to the rhythm and your body has to show what your ear is hearing and what your heart is feeling. I want to thank all my fans, supporters, and sponsors for giving me the opportunity to embrace myself in my music with great style, and with a lot of your support. A person once told me that to make it you have to have something that the others don’t have and that you won’t make it until you find what that is. After all this time I have finally found what that gift is and it’s in my lyrics, my voice, my expression, my love, my ear and the feelings I show in my songs. My difference is in my voice and in my music. I love trying the impossible and doing the impossible. I do what I feel and I can easily feed off of other peoples emotions. Music is diverse, and diversity definitely defines what I am and who I am.” Sheenah is well known for her sincere, sympathetic, friendly, sentimental, romantic and kind heart with a strong character and good values. Knowing what she wants she keeps her head up high and doesn’t let anything stand in her way. Sheenah likes to keep things simple and to the point. She has the look, the heart, the attitude and the drive. She is just a rare diamond, soon to be found.
