Band Bio: Melanie Edwards is a New York City-based singer/songwriter. Born in NC, at age three she began singing and at age nine; composing on the piano and violin. Soon after, Melanie enrolled in the Suzuki institution and after winning a high-school competition, in which she composed and arranged original pieces, on violin and vocals, took off to study theater and television at UNC-Chapel Hill. There she joined performance groups and LAB theater troupes. Melanie received her MFA in media and performing arts, from the Savannah College of Art and Design, with a concentration in musical theater. Her master's thesis is a composition of original songwork dedicated to the cabaret genre.   Read Less »
