Band Bio: In 1984, the Marea Alta project achieved popularity overseas when one of its original compositions reached the top ten positions in Caracas, Venezuela. The music of Marea Alta is strictly unique (original). Marea Alta has been featured on jazz radio stations in North Florida, Georgia and overseas (Venezuela, Canada and Australia). Its music has also been broadcast on Internet radio. On March 26, 2006, the network of PBS in Australia selected the group among a catalog of international Jazz artists for the second time to be included on a CD displaying a musical collection containing Latin Jazz music around the world.
