Band Bio: J3 was born(Joseph J. James)on Sept.24,1981.Raise Uptown in New Orleans 11th Ward.He Always had luv 4 music & hip hip.But growin up in th murda capital of th world,Music was jus a type of fantasy land 2 get away from real life & death.He came up listenin 2 artist like(N.W.A.,Scarface,Too Short & 8-Ball & MJG)But He Also had th gift of rhythm which is th reason he joined th band @ Live Oak Middle School,Which is bout th same time he jump of th porch.He played any purcussion instrument u put in front of him,But th streets had a another plan 4 him.Growin up in th poorest city in th United States Has a great effect on a young man.Even tho he knew wrong from right he still had 2 eat,So th streets fed him.And when he broke th streets paid him, He Also attended Walter L. Cohen High School(which had th smallest band in th city every year)So music was less important at th time,It was Hustlin. 1996 He started a group called th C.O.N.V.I.C.T.S which stood 4(CRIMNAL,OGANIZATION,NATIONWIDE,VIGILANTE,INDEPENDENTLY,CONQUER,THE,STREETS)Not long after dat,They became real convicts. He learned a valueble lesson,knowledge is power.All he had was knowledge of th streets & jail.So he took what he knew as a musican 2 a whole new level,He went from writin 2 beats he heard on radio 2 makin his own tracks.
