Band Bio: The Daughters of Bluegrass was an idea by Lorraine Jordan and Gena Britt. They both agreed that there were many great female pickers & vocalists in bluegrass genre and there would be a demand for a musical project showing off the talented women. In 2001 they put together first project which was picked up by the CMH Label and entitled The Daughters of American Bluegrass. The second project was on Blue Circle Records and entitled Back to the Well. It won the 2006 Recorded Event of the Year at the IBMA National Convention. The third project has just been released and has a total of 42 women performing and playing. The project is on Blue Circle Records and is entitled Bluegrass Bouquet.   Read Less »
