April's Caramel Brownies

Ingredients
1 14 oz. bag caramels
1 can evaporated milk
1 package german chocolate cake mix
1.5 sticks margarine or butter, melted
1 cup chopped pecans
1 6 oz. bag chocolate chips

Method
Put caramels in double boiler. Add 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Melt together.

Combine cake mix with margarine and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Add nuts. Stir by hand.

Grease and flour 9 x 13" pan. Spread half of the cake mix mixture over the bottom of the pan; pat down. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes; remove.

Spread caramel and sprinkle chocolate chips. Crumble remaining cake mix mixture on top. Bake for 18 minutes at 350 degrees; cool. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
