Burying the Hangman

Synopsis: Burying the Hangman is an examination of one man's social responsibility to mete out justice. Arthur English aka Arthur Ellis was Canada's official executioner for two decades and was the most experienced and one of the most respected in our nation's history. His career ended with a botched hanging in Montreal in 1935. He died there, alone and penniless, three years later. Musical score written and performed by Andy Thompson.
