This is my main ride. Now 10 yrs old, most parts are still “original”. I did hand pick every part when I bought it. (Intense did not offer part kits back then.) I probably will never get to do that again, but I was giddy for months during this process. I had it done by Sid’s bike shop in NYC.
The only major parts that were upgraded were the
1. Fork; from Marzocchi X-fly 100 to a Fox Talas RLC,
2. Saddle from a 00’ Specialized BG to an 07 model.
3. Handlebar RF to an Easton Carbon fiber bar.
4. Fox shock was “Pushed” by Push Industries. (lock out was replaced by Push’s stable platform, all inners were upgraded to better quality parts, set up for my weight, bike angles and riding style.
5. Swing link was upgraded to the Uzzi link, giving it 4.5 in of travel
-The old Niterider lights were recently replaced by Dinotte 800L on bar and a Dinotte 400L Helmet light…. like night and DAY… pun intended!
-Front brake went south – replaced with Avid Elixir Rs, still using old Hope rotors.
