| Description: | Selling my 2000 Ducati Monster 750 Dark. The motorcycle is in excellent mechanical condition and runs beautifully. The bike has 7070 miles and I continue to ride it several days a week. This motorcycle is fully stock except for new CRG bar-end mirrors. I also removed the license plate bracket from the tail though I have it and will include it with the sale. The bike has a few cosmetic blemishes -- see below. I purchased this bike in August 2007 from the original owner, a co-worker, who bought the bike new for his for his wife. She didn't ride it very much at all and when I bought it it only had 700 miles on it. I bought the bike after the original owner got a full tune-up (replaced all fluids, checked seals, etc.) and I have since had all maintenance (oil changes, timing belts according to schedule, etc.) done at Battley Cycles and Coleman Powersports. I have records. Last October I dropped the bike on its left side at 10 mph. This scratched the left muffler, bent the handlebars, dented the gas tank, broke the left front turn signal, scratched the kick stand, and broke the left mirror. Because new Ducati OEM replacements for the gas tank and muffler system cost $2000+, Geico called the bike a total loss. At Coleman, my mechanic gave it a full inspection and told me that other than the handlebar/turn signals/mirrors, the damage was cosmetic. I then replaced the handlebar, turn signal, kickstand, and mirrors. It is inspected through August 2011. Because of Geico's decision, the bike has a salvage title which I have on hand. The bike runs perfectly: it starts right up, warms up without problems, idles naturally, and rides as smooth as the day I got it. That said, it is not a beauty queen. See the pictures and video below. Pilot Road 2 tires front and rear have 3,000 miles on them. I am asking $2,900 for the bike. Please e-mail with any questions. If you want to talk about the bike or come see it, e-mail me with your contact info and availability. I will respond as soon as possible. Test rides with full cash in hand (mine). Otherwise you're welcome to start it up and watch me ride it around the block. Thanks.
