| Description: | Intermediate to Senior Technical Writer FULL TIME - PERM Our client is seeking a Technical Writer to join the Product Management Team. The candidate’s primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain user documentation and technical product training manuals for the software product. The audience for these products includes customers and partners, as well as internal professional services’ resources. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain user documentation and technical product training manuals for the software product. • Introduce, develop, and maintain online help. • Assist with preparation of product release documentation. • Work closely with staff from the Product Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Customer Support, and other functional groups. The Technical Writer must be proactive in forming these relationships, obtaining information, and soliciting feedback to define, plan, and complete assignments according to project schedules. • Participate in project planning and scheduling by creating project management documents to identify, implement, and track technical writing tasks. • Coordinate documentation development tasks to meet release milestones. • Conduct technical interviews with Engineering and other functional areas. • Coordinate reviews of documentation and incorporate appropriate user feedback. • Adhere to Technical Publications standards and guidelines. • Manage a project’s output/print schedule to meet release deadlines. • Participate in Technical Communications activities (style guides, templates, etc.). Minimum Requirements: • Minimum 3 years experience in designing and developing software product documentation. • Knowledge and experience with document design and development principles and processes. • Superior writing, editing, and communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills. • Proficiency in popular desktop publishing tools as well as Microsoft Office. Desired Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, English, or related field, or equivalent experience. • Experience in completing multiple simultaneous projects. • Knowledge of appropriate system environments for products to be documented • Familiarity with several of the following areas: HTML, SGML, or XML, HTML help, cross-platform and/or single-source information development, graphics formats, electronic and print publication. Product documentation, ReadMe, What’s New, Release Notes, Tech notes Documentation: • Development & maintenance of HTML based documentation • Documentation of product and process requirements for product and all components • Hands on QA and review • Content feed for marketing • Additional Requirements: • Packaging & validating software and components ** When apply please send your resume in MS Word and your salary expectations |
