My husband and I recently purchased our first townhouse in lovely Capitola, CA and are looking to rent out our 2nd bedroom from Dec- March (dates are slightly flexible.)
First off a little bit about us. My husband, Bradley, is a city planner for Watsonville and works from 7:30 am- 5:30 pm Monday- Thursday. I just started my own organic baby food company and am currently working both out of the home office and in a commercial kitchen space. We are both in our mid/late twenties, clean, responsible, kind, and friendly. We have always lived with roommates and are used to sharing our space with others. We have never had any house rules but do always clean up after ourselves, pay our bills on time, and try to respect everyone's various needs in terms of quiet time and shared spaces. We take great pride in our home and hope our roommate will as well. We love to cook and often have people over for a casual dinner, backyard bbq, movie night, or game night. We don't smoke or do drugs. We do have a small dog who doesn't shed all that much and will pretty much stay out of your way.. he does bark a little bit at the door at first but then goes back to sleeping on the couch!
As for the house... We are located in the heart of Capitola within walking distance of Whole Foods, the Capitola Mall, Trader Joes, and the Capitola Village. We are also just 2 minutes to the nearest freeway entrance. The townhouse is located in a small, quiet complex with only 11 units. Our unit is a recently remodeled 2 bedroom/ 1.5 bath with a small garden area. The kitchen and living room are all open and light. Your bedroom faces the backyard and is very tranquil. It comes either furnished with a queen futon, nightstand, and bookshelf or unfurnished. As an ex-pastry chef, I own every kitchen appliance you can think of! We also can provide you with sheets, blankets, and linens if needed.
Move in and move out dates are pretty flexible. We are expecting our first child on March 29th so it would be best if you could move out before that date as I am sure you wouldn't want to live with a newborn! So if you are down-to-earth, kind, responsible and don't mind living with an ever-expanding woman and her fantastic husband... email us!
