Description: Our client is a full-service marketing and software provider delivering cutting-edge solutions for websites, games, and ecommerce. They are currently seeking an Application Analyst to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:
Provide tier 2/3 support for applications (primarily Talisma, Wiki, Jira and content management systems among others)
Establish strong vendor relationships to optimize the services
Work closely with product development group and external vendors to integrate the products;
Monitor the underlying software architecture to proactively manage application issues
Analyze software applications to help improve system reliability and scalability
Able to understand coding for troubleshooting purposes
Able to configure and customize the applications
Document and train users on optimal configuration and use of our key applications
Participate in the evaluation, implementation, installation, and documentation of new corporate applications
Work with QA to test and apply application updates
Be the escalation point for application support issues


Requirements:
Solid understanding of Microsoft and Unix operating systems
Knowledge and experience of scripting languages (e.g., sh, bash, perl)
3+ years experience supporting and or developing applications running on MSSQL and MySQL
2+ yrs managing and deploying large scale Apache server deployments
2+ yrs administering and deploying applications on Java Enterprise Application
3+ yrs Linux system administration. Bash scripting and specific Redhat experience a plus.
2+ yrs experience creating training documentation and delivering technical training
Excellent communication skills are a must.
Understanding of JavaEE technologies Java Development experience (Java5 or newer)
Solid understanding of core networking technologies
Experience with build tools like Ant and Maven are an asset
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot various system and network issues
Ability to work well within a support team and offer exceptional customer service
