| Description: | JOB DESCRIPTION Senior Programmer Analyst (Cognos and .NET) MUST BE a US CITIZEN, GC, or EAD. No third parties. Contact me @ nboson@roistaffing.com Technical and Other Position Requirements • 7+ years of overall applications programming experience • Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, with emphasis on using Cognos reporting tools o 2-1/2+ years Cognos development experience; Cognos 8 experience is a plus - Report Studio, Query Studio and Analysis Studio o 2+ years VB.NET, ASP.NET o 5+ years stored procedure development using SQL Server transact sql o 2+ years of applications development experience in at least one of the following is a plus: Powerbuilder, XML, Crystal Reports, SQL Reporting Services • Experience in supporting Human Resources and Payroll systems is a plus • Use of Microsoft Office is required • Prior experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues. • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams. • Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans. • Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies. • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products. • Highly self motivated and directed; minimal supervision. • Keen attention to detail. • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. • Overtime hours may be required to meet project deadlines. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. |
