We are seeking a detail oriented, self managed, dynamic team player with at least 5 years of international trade and customs experience, to join our Production Planning Department. Working with internal departments, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and warehouse facilities, you will manage global customs compliance and brokerage services for Arc’teryx. You will identify new opportunities for duty and cost savings, and maintain tariff and cost data for Arc’teryx products. Ideally you will have: • 5+ years experience in international freight and customs. • Experience tariff rating and/or working with apparel and textiles • CCS certification • An undergraduate degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience • Strong organizational and communication skills – remains calm in difficult situations • Effective problem solving skills – is patient and democratic • Excellent attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy • Ability to read and write technical documents in English • Able to travel freely to the US • Participation or an interest in activities we make products for would be an asset • Experience within a manufacturing environment an asset Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): • Determine correct tariffs, quota categories, and related information; including accurately maintaining and updating this data • Provide expertise in import/export issues related to textiles, apparel, and other products • Respond to technical enquiries from customs agencies • Manage customs brokerage services; including negotiating and monitoring rates, establishing brokerage service agreements and performance measures • Maintain documentation to support NAFTA exports • Maintain, update and calculate import costs for products • Process duty drawback claims with Government and customs agencies • Audit customs entries and approve brokerage invoices, file and maintain document records, take action to correct or amend entries as required. • Other projects as assigned If this sounds like you, then please apply by forwarding your resume and cover letter in PDF or Word format to hr@arcteryx.com.
