Skills:

Responsibilities:
Develop, manage and update data models of firm’s Business Intelligence environment. e.g. data warehouse, data marts, staging area, operational data store, and where appropriate, the firm’s source systems; work with FIRM end users and business analysts to ensure a tight fit between the Business Intelligence environment and business requirements; and deliver direct support to FIRM power users who develop reports on behalf of their departmental colleagues.
Basic Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree required and 4-5 years related professional work experience
*Interview end users to determine requirements for data, reports, analytic, metadata, service levels, data quality and performance needs from Netezza.
*Create the necessary design documentation (conceptual, logical and physical models) for the data warehouse and data marts running on the Netezza appliance.
*Communicate physical database designs to the business areas where necessary and to the Metavante technical team to ensure proper access to the Netezza appliance solution.
*Work with the business areas to identify and assess potential data sources that supply the BIC, CDW and FIRM specific data warehouse structures running on Netezza.
*Develop processes for capturing and maintaining metadata from all data warehousing components-BIC, CDW and FIRM specific data structures that run on Netezza.
*Develop ETL code to move data from source to target.
*Resolve Business Objects query issues that arise when accessing data stored on Netezza.
*Recommend the appropriate scope of requirements for Business Intelligence work effort that will use data on Netezza.
*Coordinate prototype reviews with the business users and any necessary technical people to assist in verifying the business solution and the appropriate technology usage of Netezza.
*Map source system data to the Business Intelligence models (e.g. data warehouse, data marts, etc.) that are Netezza. This becomes FIRM's key business documentation.
*Define and capture metadata and business rules associated with the load process of the business data in FIRM's business Intelligence environment on Netezza.
Desired Qualifications:
*5-7 years in related field
*Netezza database design experience (ANSI Standard database)
*ETL experience-Data Stage/Microsoft SSIS/Data Integrator
*Business Objects usage
*Logical/physical data modeling experience
*Creation of one or more data marts
*Proficient use of SQL language
*Metadata management
Specialized Skills:
*Mainframe, PC, Program/Language
*Software: Business Objects Technologies, ETL technologies, Data modeling technologies, MDM/CDI experience optional
