Job-Specific Requirements:
Expert knowledge of Java and JSP, DBC, JDBC, and other J2EE technologies
Strong HTML, JavaScript, CSS, including optimizing and writing cross-browser compatible code
Experience with Struts and Hibernate
Understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems
Experience with Photoshop and Fireworks or other graphic tools
Knowledge and exposure to a variety of Internet technologies.
Experience with databases--SQL, Oracle, MySQL
Experience with Content Management Systems is a plus
Careful attention to detail in both front end design and back end code
Education: BS in EE/CS or equivalent experience Work
Experience:
o 8+ years employment experience with an e-commerce, consumer or B2B applications
General Requirements:
Able to work effectively with minimal supervision and act as a resource and mentor for other technical staff.
Able to quickly absorb and understand complicated technical and complex marketing material and apply this knowledge to be effective and timely problem resolution.
Can work effectively in a dynamic and fast changing environment.
Will take strong ownership and responsibility for writing high quality code that follows best practices.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with our business analysts, project managers, and QA team to actualize the application requirements.
Developing interfaces and applications according to best practices
Interacting with business users as a technical liaison, responsible for implementing user ideas.
Code reviews for the development team
Participating or leading weekly meetings to discuss issues and progress.
Influencing design decisions
Mentoring junior developers
Contributing to the development of internal tools and collaborating on process enhancements to increase the effectiveness of our Web Development team.
Performing ongoing troubleshooting, and implementing enhancements for the applications
