1989 Volvo 240.

Why? I've been unemployed for a while and I can't afford to drive. I don't wanna get rid of it, but I don't think I have a choice.

Description: It's an automatic 4-speed 2.3 liter with rear-wheel drive, manual sunroof, power locks and windows. I estimate that it gets about 20ish MPG. I'm not positive, as the odometer is broken. 200,000+ miles

I love the way it drives and I'd rather not get rid of it, but I've been unemployed for a while and I can't afford to drive right now.

This car would be perfect for a mechanic. It definitely needs some repairs, but nothing too outlandish.. The biggest repair costs would be labor for a non-mechanic. The engine runs great and I've never had a problem with the transmission.

The problem needing the most attention is an oil leak on the front of the engine (behind the timing belt). I find myself continuously adding oil every time I go to drive it. Both left side tires have low tread and need replacement soon, and it needs some brake work. All 4 wheels use disc brakes, and I'm sure a couple need replacing, but the right rear brake caliper appears to be rusted/locked up and will either need some mechanic love or replacement, probably the rotor too.

A/C and power steering are disconnected from the main belt, I'm assuming the compressor is locked up. The power steering doesn't look like it has anything wrong with it.
