viagogo – the international ticket exchange– is growing quickly and is looking to hire intelligent and talented people to help expand our growing North American business.

The Online Marketing Analyst role offers an incredibly unique opportunity for entry-level candidates to take on big responsibilities and directly affect our success. Your main responsibilities will be ownership of online marketing for viagogo in North America. We envision the initial focus being on PPC, affiliate, and social media marketing activities, but the scope of what you do is truly only limited by your ability, drive, and results. While we spend where appropriate, we’re not into big budget brand building so there will be a focus on high ROI, creative (e.g., viral, social media) marketing activities, perfect for someone interested in cutting-edge online marketing.

You will build on your strengths, develop new skills, and be part of the core team that expands viagogo’s growing presence in North America. You will report to and work directly with the Managing Director, North America. Throughout it all, you’ll work with fun people who are committed to helping fans gain access to tickets to the best live events in the world!

The Person:

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment
• A sense of humour and positive, “make-it-work” attitude – we want someone that enjoys working with us and that we enjoy working with
• Outstanding relationship and communications skills, both written and oral
• Organized with strong attention to detail
• Reliable – if you say you’ll do something, it gets done and done well

• Ability to analyze complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions
• Must be self-motivated and self-starting with detail orientation and ability to multi-task
• Located in or around the San Francisco Bay Area
• Must be eligible to work in the US

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead marketing campaigns (may include emails, banner ads, affiliate marketing, shopping feeds, etc.), achieving target metrics
o Coordinate Social Media campaigns (MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
o Plan and execute all aspects of SEM campaigns: keyword research and creation, ad copy creation and testing, campaign performance tracking/analysis/reporting
o Work with affiliates to drive pay-for-performance traffic
• Perform daily monitoring of campaign performance and perform adjustments to achieve target metrics (CPC, ROI)
• Analyze visitor and conversion metrics
• Recommend changes to increase organic and paid traffic and conversions
• Understand issues surrounding user experience, accessibility and information architecture
• Understand and excel in using viagogo’s software tools and operational best practices
• Contribute to our collaborative team environment by providing constructive feedback to your manager and peers regarding successes and best practices

Essential Experience / Skills:

• 1 to 3 years professional online marketing experience
o Note that we are also targeting compensation at this level of experience
• Undergraduate degree required, ideally in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field
• Fully up to date and passionate about the Internet and technology, including understanding and heavy use of Facebook, Twitter, iPhone, blogs, etc.
• Experience with SEM (Search Engine Marketing), SMO (Social Media), and affiliate management
o Including Google AdWords, Overture/Yahoo!, MSN, affiliate management, Google Analytics, website Meta tags, alt tags, organic link building, paid sponsored searches
o Management of ad budget
• Must be comfortable with standard office software (Excel (including comfort with pivot tables), Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and be a quick study on new software tools

Desirable Experience / Skills:

• Experience and/or interest in the travel, music, sports, or hospitality industries strongly preferred
• Experience in the ticketing industry
• Experience building and/or managing web sites
• Ability to write/edit creative content is a plus
