Job Summary:
*Responsible for ensuring total customer satisfaction by promptly and appropriately stocking and refreshing cold and hot food stations, ensuring product freshness and presentation for the salad bar, deli bar, and all other food stations.
*Rotate salad bar accompaniments after each meal period.
*Perform timely, accurate prep work to support the cooks as they produce hot and cold foods.
*Set up and breakdown cold and hot food stations and preparation areas.
*Responsible for garnishing every dish, for every meal.
*Work in assigned area and remain in that area throughout shift.
*Communicate to the Chief Cook or Production Manager any product replacement needs.
*Use proper food handling and storage techniques at all times (HACCP).
*Use proper sanitation techniques at all times, including cleaning of the Cook’s line and refrigerators (clean as you go).
*Assist in training new food prep staff in SAGE food production practices.
*Follow guidelines found in SAGE’s Employee Handbook as these pertain to your unit.
*Perform any other tasks requested by management.

Job Qualifications:

Education: Must be able to read and write, use simple math, follow and give oral and written instructions. Must be able to follow a recipe in detail.

Experience:
Skills: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. comfortably.
Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods
of time.
Must be adaptable to additional duties as assigned.
Must be able to get along with all types of people.
Must work well in a team environment.


Essential Physical/Mental Functions and Environmental Conditions:

*Frequently exposed to moving objects, burns, cuts and loud noises.
*Must be able to see objects closely, discriminate colors, perceive depths.
*Must be able to hear normal sounds with some background noise and distinguish sounds.
*Must be able to properly lift objects weighing 20 lbs. or less continuously, 35 lbs. or less frequently, 50 lbs. or more occasionally. The highest point of any lift overhead; the lowest point of any lift, the floor.
*Able to carry objects 20 lbs. or less frequently, 35 lbs. or less occasionally, 50 lbs. or more rarely.
*Able to push/pull objects with moderate efforts frequently. Maximum effort occasionally.
*Able to sit and/or stand 4 hours continuously, up to 8 hours per day. Able to remain on feet for entire shift.
*Must be able to manipulate small objects with close hand-eye and/or arm coordination for entire shift. Able to perform motor skills such as grasping, finger manipulation, bending, reaching out, twisting, turning, reaching up, wrist turning/torquing continuously.
*Must be able to understand and relate to specific ideas, generally several at a time, on a continuous basis.
*Must be able to remember task/assignment given for a full shift on a continuous basis. Occasionally, must be able to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over long period of time.
