This wallet and checkbook holder is deep brown and is made from soft leather, it will form quicker with use than my stiffer leathers. It has just a slight sheen to it a satin finish, with alligator stamp design. Now this soft leather shows wear lines so the more you use it the more wrinkles it will develop but it will not crack or tear and is stitched with heavy grained wax thread that would not pass threw a machine, all hand sewed for quality with each hole punched by hand before hand. Wallet measures 4.5 inches by 3.5 inches checkbook holder measures 7.75 inches by 3.5 inches both measurements are of items folded. Thank you
