I know the price may seem high but let me explain what the photo don't, first this is a leather carving which means I toke metal tools to a piece of leather and a hammer and beat this picture into it toke 2 weeks to do that then I painted it in by hand toke a week for that then I went up to my farm 60 miles away and brought back cherry lumber I have had up there 30 yrs. I toke the lumber and planed it down then cut the frame pieces then used my shaper table to put the round over on and cut the grove in the back for the picture to set in. This frame is real cherry wood unstained. Then I glue the frame and let it sit over night, the next day I shot staples into the back of frame in corners to help hold then toke picture mounted on foam core and pushed it into frame and toke small nails driving then into back at angle then bending to hold this picture in. There is no glass on this because it then makes it impossible to see the embossing and 3 d effects that leather carving does. This is not a wham bam paint by numbers picture like you will see in other stores here and it toke 4th place at the Kentucky State fair my other picture toke 1st out of 95 entries that is pretty good and I am happy to be a success with my fellow leather crafters.
