Description: Online Advertising Intern

This hub for home decor and design solutions is on the lookout for a Business Development Intern in the Design Professional channel. That’s on recent graduate with sharp people skills, a knack for selling and an interest in online media and home decor.

This is NOT your typical internship; you will play a pivotal role in the day to day affairs of this fun, dynamic and creative business. For the time being you will work remotely but are expected to attend 2 weekly conference calls and attend in person meetings as requested. As such we request a minimum of 3 days commitment. This invaluable experience is unpaid now but has significant opportunities for growth and a full blown career ahead.

Primary Responsibilities include:
• Support channel ambassador with direct and indirect revenue generating tasks and functions
• Assist channel ambassador with tasks on individual accounts including preparing presentations, entering media plans into third party online systems, checking on inventory availability, creating advertising report wrap ups, assisting in proposal creation.
• Proactively prospect & research potential channel members
• Create, plan and execute channel specific campaigns that will build remote stylist brand awareness
• Pull campaign reports, log traffic and review status of campaigns to ensure monthly billing is precise and punctual
• Help ad team stay abreast of competitors including preparing competitive reports, researching and discovering new business leads
• Manage monthly channel specific newsletter
• General tasks including filtering leads to appropriate sales people, assisting clients while sales people are out of the office, maintaining client database and CRM activities as well as library of past campaigns
• Help ad team prepare for client entertaining including preparation for agency functions, assisting in events, helping create lists and participating in the planning processes
• Coordinate show tours, sales meeting, travel plans and events
• Provide member support
• Be the face of the Remote Stylist at PR, sales and special events

Requirements:
•Advertising or online media graduate or current student with a clear understanding or interest in online media space
•Must be a self starter; eager to learn and contribute
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Strong presentation, time-management and interpersonal skills
•Super organized
•Computer savvy
•Social media junkie (facebook and twitter a must!)
•Minimum commitment of 24 hours a week
•Existing relationships with media planners, buyers and interactive agencies a plus
