Ensure the accuracy of accruals and payments posted to the trade fee payables section of the balance sheet. This person will also be responsible for updating scorecard style status reports, formal reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and posting of journal entries.

**Draft and upload journal entries into the general ledger
**Trade fee payable accounting
**Update reconciliations
**Investigate discrepancies and propose solutions
**Provide ad hoc analysis for special requests from internal clients
**Assist in the month end close process
**Assist in the validation of execution invoices received
**Coordinate intra-company settlement of rebates and recharge to affiliate offices
**Daily reconciliation of various clearing fees using web based exchange billing systems

Requirements:

**3-5 years accounting experience
**Strong analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to drill down on an issue to find the root cause and propose a solution
**Proficiency with Excel and MS Access
**Willingness to learn web based exchange fee billing systems
**Mainframe based query experience
**Familiarity with futures industry trade flows and industry terminology
