| Description: | Overview of Role viagogo – the international ticket exchange– is growing quickly and is looking to hire ambitious, intelligent, and talented people to help expand our growing North American business. The Business Associate / Programmer will lead operational initiatives critical to the growth and success of the company. The Associate’s role will be to build, oversee, and improve the operations of the business, including creating and supporting in-house software tools, product listing, order processing, and fulfillment, as well as aspects of product development and customer service. This role offers a unique opportunity for candidates to take on big responsibilities and directly affect our success. You will report directly to the Managing Director, North America, and be his right-hand man/woman for all aspects of our operations. The Person: • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment • A sense of humour and positive, “make-it-work” attitude – we want someone that enjoys working with us and that we enjoy working with • Outstanding relationship and communications skills, both written and oral • Organized with strong attention to detail • Reliable – if you say you’ll do something, it gets done and done well o A desire to drive for results • Ability to analyze complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions • Must be self-motivated and self-starting with detail orientation and ability to multi-task • Located in or around the San Francisco Bay Area • Must be eligible to work in the US Responsibilities: • Potential responsibilities to include (but not limited to): o Working closely with all parts of the business, including partners and suppliers, to ensure the business runs smoothly o Designing, writing, implementing, and supporting in-house software tools to automate and streamline our operations o Managing business relationships with partners and suppliers, e.g., negotiating favorable terms, monitoring the quality of their deliverables o Serving as a liaison between business and technology, e.g., organizing and prioritizing product development requests according to business need Essential Experience / Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering strongly preferred, other Engineering / hard sciences backgrounds ok • 1-2 years of professional programming experience • Working knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and/or SQL Server • Working knowledge of programming languages such as Java, ASP.net, Visual Basic and/or C# • Comfort with software analysis, e.g., using pivot tables and Excel Desirable Experience / Skills: • Experience and/or interest in the travel, music, sports, or hospitality industries • Experience in e-commerce and/or ticketing • 1-2 years of experience at a technology company or at a technology/process consultancy (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte) preferred About viagogo viagogo is a multi-faceted ticketing company.
