Description: Do you enjoy working with youth and/or playing volleyball? If so, you might want to apply to be an Assistant Volleyball Instructor with the Socio-Economic Development Center for Southeast Asians’ Volleyball Program.

As an SEDC After-School Tutor/Mentor and Assistant Volleyball Instructor, you will be expected to perform the following tasks:
• Provide individual and small group tutoring to students in the Assessment and Tutorial Center.
• Assist students in improving academic achievement by meeting with them on a regular basis to clarify learning problems and work on study skills.
• Take the lead in supporting a young person through an on-going relationship.
• Help set goals and work toward accomplishing them.
• Serve as a positive role model and friend.
• Build self-esteem and motivation.
• Serve as a positive role model and friend.
• Teach basic volleyball fundamentals
• Lead and teach students volleyball drills and games

Other assistance might include: reviewing class material, discussing the text, predicting test questions, formulating ideas for papers, or working on solutions to problems, making home visit, and other duties assigned by the Youth and Family Services Director and Coordinator.
