Description: Cedar Associates LLC conducts clinical effectiveness and decision analytical research pertaining to novel and emerging medical technologies. Our clients are health sciences research and development companies in the areas of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and devices. We are seeking applicants for the position of Programmer Analyst to support research and consulting activities.

Responsibilities:
• Support the development of healthcare economic models
• Program models in MS Excel VBA
• Support the statistical analysis of health care data using R, STATA, Excel and other software packages
• Prepare model documentation and write reports describing modeling results and analyses
• Participate in other research-related activities such as literature reviews

Position requirements:
• Bachelor or master’s degree, in which college curriculum included coursework in programming, statistics, mathematical modeling and economics
• Ability to formulate quantitative models
• Proficiency in Excel VBA, or in a language of similar power and complexity such as C ,C#, Java etc
• Familiarity with R, SPlus, STATA, SAS and other statistical software
• Familiarity with SQL and the ability to retrieve data from large databases
• Proficiency in MS Office suit
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently
• Results-oriented team player with willingness and motivation to grow professionally in an entrepreneurial environment
• Strong communication skills
