| Description: | SUMMARY: Under general supervision, this position is responsible for consulting with business users regarding web information delivery using established guidelines and interfacing with technical staff to coordinate the implementation and maintenance of such information on the website(s). ________________________________________ PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES: NOTE: The primary accountabilities below are intended to describe the general content of and requirements of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties. Incumbents may perform all or most of the primary accountabilities listed below. Specific tasks or responsibilities will be documented in the incumbents' performance objectives as outlined by the incumbents' immediate supervisor or manager. 1. Interfaces with technical staff and users to implement and maintain the website(s) or web pages. 2. Performs editorial activities including gathering and researching information that enhances the value of the site. This includes reviewing site content for quality that includes consistency, spelling, grammar and syntax following prescribed procedures. May also verify facts, dates and statistics. 3. Tracks hits to websites and provides data to support others in the analysis of the website with the goal to increase the effectiveness of the website(s). 4. May seek out customers to gather feedback for website improvement and enhancements or perform research to coordinate interesting and informative formats. 5. Interfaces with the appropriate staff to identify the useful tools to put information on the web page or website. 6. Establishes and maintains a close and interactive working relationship with the corporate IT department and other technical staff to increase smooth communication and operational effectiveness. 7. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent. ________________________________________ REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Demonstrated proficiency in writing in regards to grammar, audience and syntax. The ability to search, navigate and effect change on in a web environment is required. A general understanding of the architecture of a website preferred. A general understanding of web-based technologies and of HTML, FrontPage and/or other web applications. Familiarity with standard web concepts, practices and procedures preferred. Must be able to use oral and/or written communication skills to present web-based information in a logical format to ease the user’s ability to access and understand information.
