General Description:
The Professional Category Manager will be responsible for the Professional Product assortment including: managing existing core business, executing product launches/promotional marketing programs and providing a strategic vision for the growth and future of the Professional channel. This position is responsible for creating new product sales packages/promotions, monthly and quarterly email blasts in cooperation with Marketing and Sales. Additional responsibilities include interaction and collaboration with
multiple groups including: Operations, Creative, R&D, Sales and Corporate
Education.
This position will work closely with the EVP of Sales and Sales Directors to identify evaluate and recommend new marketing initiatives and business opportunities
. Develop brand strategy in conjunction with Marketing Brand Managers
o gaps/business opportunities
o lead and oversee new Professional product launches
. Oversee from concept to launch new Professional product concepts
. Prepare monthly/quarterly brand performance analysis, competitive
information and post-launch analysis
. Supply information to Sales, PR and Education to ensure a consistent
global message is created and adapted for various end needs.
. Liaison with Marketing, Product Development, Corporate Education to revise and update current back bar protocol offering, bringing newness and innovation.
. Provide knowledge and expertise on trends on the Spa/Salon/Professional arena
. Develop, launch and manage Spa/Salon Business Development Program for Pro channel. This includes developing gratis program, working with Corporate Education on training curriculums and retail-selling strategy
. Develop, launch and manage School Program (future estheticians).
This includes all recruiting materials, product recommendations and financial analysis.
. Develop, launch and manage a Client Loyalty Program with the focus on building client retention in the Spa/Salon/Professional arena
. Develop a strategy and launch programs reaching the Hotel Spa segment and other "destination" segments
. Oversee Corporate Collateral - from developing offering, pricing/sourcing, gathering channel forecast, preparing sales materials and ensuring on-time delivery.
. Manage Spa/Salon/Professional email blast campaigns (monthly/quarterly), including analysis of performance.
. Oversee and manage Trade Shows (average 2/year)
. Must be well organized and an excellent multi-tasker
. Must be detail oriented
. Provide superior customer service both internally and externally by providing any tools and resources needed
