Description: Aquilent is looking for a Senior Information Architect to join an Aquilent User Experience (UX) team working on a healthcare web portal serving Veterans of the Armed Forces. The IA/UX Lead will work with the client to analyze and understand their existing website audience user segments, site content, functional requirements, and technology footprint. Based on this strategy, the IA will develop a complete information architecture and navigation approach for the site, as well as an overall site organization scheme. The IA will participate in usability testing and evaluation.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Demonstrated understanding of information architecture and user interface design concepts and techniques
• Demonstrated understanding of, and experience with, Section 508 accessibility requirements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective communication to clients and project team members
• Knowledge of user-centered design principles, information design, usability techniques, and general Web design
• Conversant in internet development technologies/issues such as content management systems, databases, portal software, servers, cookies, and advanced HTML
• Ability to effectively collaborate with developers, designers, and usability specialists

Education/Certifications
• 3-5 years of user experience, information architecture, information design, HCI or usability experience with a focus on website redesign.
• BS or BA in Information Technology / Web Design or equivalent experience.
