You can most likely use those 3 lenses on yur new digital SLR, if you buy a Nikon. You should take the lenses to the store, where they sell the Digital Cams, and try them on one of the display models. If they're AF they'll probably work very well with the Nikon SLRs. Even if they're manual focus they will likely fit, but I'm not sure about whether the cameras light meter will work with lenses that are too old. Find out, before you sell yur lenses. Buying extra lenses for yur DSLR can cost you a fortune, so yur probably best off just getting a nikon and utilizing what you already have.

Yeah, VR is really worth it. The non AF-S lenses will not work on the D40/60/5000 though. :(
