Looking for a Roommate:

Looking for female sublet until Jan. 2010 with option to renew lease for $550.

Why? Looking for a female roommie to take my room in an awesome 3 br duplex in Logan Square, starting August 1st. I'm moving out because I've found a sweet one bedroom and, well...who doesn't want their own place, right?

Description: The apartment is located at 2136 N Bingham, perpendicular to the Congress Theater in a nice and quiet neighborhood, well, except for the train. It's not right outside the window, but it's about a half block away, and it is hardly noticeable in the downstairs bedroom, where you'll be sleeping. It's also really close to public trans: 10 minute walk from the California and Western Blue Line, and 5 minutes from the Armitage, Milwaukee and California buses. Some things nearby include: Walgreens, Chase Bank, CVS, Twisted Scissors and several great restaurants (Fuego, El Cid, 90 miles, Cozy Corner Diner, Lucky Vito's Pizza, Tastee Freez, Logan Bar & Grill).

The apt is located in a gated, locked, and secure complex. We have very nice and respectful neighbors. Parking is available in the complex or there is super easy street parking with permit, which is cheap or free from the city, I don't drive so I'm not sure. You will also have access to an awesome gazebo with a grill for summer entertaining and 2 laundry rooms. The landlord is awesome, seriously. Plus, we have a super nice maintenance guy who actually lives in the complex, so just a text message away from fixing any problems :)

The apartment itself is huge and has great features: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, beautiful hardwood floors, big updated kitchen, dining room and 2 living rooms. I don't want to give off the idea that this is just like a luxury lakefront condo, but it is definitely VERY nice and well taken care of. Like I said, the landlord is a great guy and takes very good care of his property and his tenants.
You would get the downstairs bedroom and your own bathroom, so you will have a lot of privacy. The room is really big and has awesome closet space. Additionally, there is tons of storage space downstairs that is shared between the 3 roommates. Currently, my roommates never use the the downstairs living room so it is very quiet down there, but I can't assure you that they won't start using it for whataver reason. In any case, they are really nice and respectful.

You will have 2 roommies, both 23 years old who work full time and aren't home all that much. They are grown ups, clean, pay their bills on time, etc.. I think they go out now and then, but the party doesn't come home. They are looking for someone mature, responsible, and who also pays bills on time. No drugs or huge parties in the house, please. You don't need to become their best friend, because everyone seems to have very busy schedules, just someone nice and responsible to live with.

So...I'm in charge of finding a replacement, but obviously the other two have to "approve" you, so we'll try to keep this simple and arrange a time when you can meet them AND see the apartment in one visit. Help us avoid the mystery of you, reply with a handful about yourself: what kind of work you do, what kind of roommate are you (cleanliness, noise level, etc.),...you know, the obvious kind of stuff that potential roommates would want to know. Also, leave a phone number too if possible, I'm on email a lot but that could make communication easier later on. Feel free to ask any questions!

I would be interested, but I don't currently live in Chicago and I am not sure when I would be able to come and see it, and meet the current roommies. I don't know if we could work something out over the phone or whatnot but I would be willing to try. I am 22 (I'll be 23 in August) I am mostly clean, the only places that might fall behind is my room so not the non-common areas. I don't have a job yet but I have a decent amount of money saved up till I get one. I am done with College so it would be a full time job. I am quiet, but I do like to go out, though would be respectful of the other roommates and not have people over, and I don't know that many people so I wouldn't have anyone to invite anyway. I pay my bills on time and l am a mature adult, I hate roommate drama. Um if you want to know anything else, and if you think we could work something out for me being far away, just let me know.
