Freezing!!
by Vicky at 1:12pm on May 9th, 2008
A brill game as long as people complete the games i'm sick of forfeiting games that are left unplayed for wks, this is an unfair advantage to the time wasters as i forfeit but they get the points and my stats look rubbish!!!

Once you find someone decent to play you think all is well until the board freezes...which lately it seems to be doing a hell of a lot more often!!

Please sort it out as other players are getting snotty and cancelling games with me when it's not my fault!!

Please help?!
Time limit and forced forfeit absolutely necessary!!

I have always loved the board version of the game. After a span of around 18 years or so, I played it again yesterday evening when I found it on FB and have been at it non-stop, just to take a 4 hour break to go to sleep.

This electronic version is simply amazing but it requires some fine-tuning. Developers are requested to bring in a time limit for every move and for each game. It gets so tiring and boring having to wait for the other person to make his/her move. In addition there is a definite lag between two consequtive moves. If possible, can you correct it/make it faster?

Secondly, please automate a forced forfeit if the other player is not responding beyond the allowed time limit. I was so upset because I had to lose 13 out of 17 games, only because I got tired of waiting for the other person to make his/her move and thus forfeited the game myself.

And the third thing, please make the board, tiles, and fonts bigger so that one can easily view them without the need to squint the eyes.

Overall, I would say, it's the best game on Facebook!! Not only does it improve your vocabulary but it also increases your concentrating abilities and mental powers.

Thanks a lot, Scrabble!!
Nice

It's still in beta so there are going to be problems, no doubt.

I like the idea of having the option for a timed game.

If I can say one thing, I'd like the green board to be a bit lighter of a colour. It looks just a wee bit confusing. Other than that I think it's great.
too slow!!

yes, i couldnt play yesterday either! and when i CAN play it takes so long to update so both me and my opponent are waiting for each other to play because we can't see the last word played. very frustrating!
I love it!

I think it's just a great game. Personally I like being able to have a game going for a few days and just do like a word a day. Nice little addition to the day which doesn't take too much time. Would stop playing if I had to do a whole game at once. Having said that I can certainly understand the frustration of others. Maybe you could have two categories and people join either one depending on what they are after.
Time up!

Please have a time limit and ensure that people forfeit a game if they take too long. In order to keep myself occupied I had four games going on at the same time as I got so bored of waiting for my opponent and some just disappear! They should forfeit the game if tyhey do that. With a few tweaks, this will be great!
Not available...

It's pretty crappy to advertise a game that can't be used by anyone who lives in the US or Canada. At least make note of this on the home page before someone installs the app just to find out it won't work.
Just SO SO SO Addictive.

I learnt how to scrabble 2 weeks ago.... thanks to my boyfriend, and I must say this..... he just regrets the fact that he taught me how to use the scrabbling board because I just ran to my facebook page and added this app. Its great, good that you can play with a million people at the same time. One thing though.... Please have a time limit for games. If someone takes too long to make the move, force them to forfeit.
Thanks,

Tinda.

Hey !! I think its UNFAIR that you ONLY ALLOW people *outside* the U.S and CANADA to play Scrabble!!

For anyone else with Tracey's problem:It may not be in your "default" icons, but it will be in the drop-dow menu part.

Follow these steps and it will be:

STEP 1:

Go to your facebook profile page (note: PROFILE, not HOME)

STEP 2:

Under your facebook icons, click the word "MORE" which is in tiny writing under the last icon on your page, it has a small arrow pointing down after it

STEP 3:

Find your icon for scrabble, if it is not there, remove and re-install scrabble.

if it IS there, click and drag it to the top of the list above the thin horizontal abr that appears.

STEP 4:

Click the "less" word @ the bottom of the list.

STEP 5:

Reload your facebook window (click "profile" again

TADA

It should now appear in your list.

Surely playing a go within 24 hours shouldn't be a rule for every game? Can you turn this off? I think it would be much better if this was optional for the more slow paced among us.

Good to see updates. Dislike the Show Remaining Tiles - this does not follow the board game and gives an unfair advantage, if other player can read your tiles. Would be useful to see a list of what updates are there and what they actually do. Regarding timings etc. how is this set - some people go away on business etc. for a few days.....

I got a bingo with my first down so my opponent promptly cancelled game .Not fair that this can happen. Something must be done to make people forfeit games for not playing for days.Spoils all the fun of participating .
