This is definitely high-risk as I believe that Ford has maybe a 55% chance of survival, but look at it this way --- it's even more high-risk to give the thumbs-down right now and your gains are limited to 100% that way, whereas, if you win on the thumbs up, More »

It went from $14 in '07 to $2 in '09 and now it is at $10 in '10. The hybrids are picking up more of the market. Ford is undergoing an image transformation to something resembling better for the environment and your wallet vehicles. I'd say it's safe to get involved, however the time to buy was last February. I sold at around $8-9.

I think Ford is one of the best stocks on the market. I have owned 100,000 shares of it for roughly one and a half months and it has risen 25%. Anybody that doesnt own some shares of Ford should buy at least 10,000 shares and see where it goes.

Yeah Mr. Roony, I can't say I disagree with you. Along with their relentless dilution, Ford also recently said their Euro sales will most likely decrease over the next couple years (although US sales are projected to increase). I'm certainly not short, but I AM overwriting my position, and selling puts with the intent to buy more should the price drop.
Things can certainly change, but right now, I like F over the long haul.

I'm reversing myself on F. Ford has done great and long term, will do very well. F prospered while the rest of the industry was bailed out because of a timely refinancing just before the market went to hell. That re-fi, however puts a cap on F shares at $10 with an overwhelming number of notes available for conversion at that level. With the stock at 52 week high and the market overbought, I'm shorting F looking for a pullback to $7.80.

At 9.00 a share Ford is going to be a bargain for as long as the economy continues to climb out of outright depression, or Sam says it around $40.00, but my target is $12.00 by the third quarter 2010. That's gut analysis not technical. Ford is the American economy in a nutshell (Good Lord!!), for sentimental reasons, although that didn't save PAN AM.

Owned it since Jan. Going to own it forever... or $40 which ever comes first. Hopefully they reinstate a dividend.

The Fiesta is going to sky-rocket Ford's stock prices.
