HiAl, Don't get the wrong impression. My stance is long. I don't believe the diversificatopn theory (which works so well in the classroom - if it did work, no one here would short!). My portfolio lost today about 200K, about 1.5%, but I am up (0.9% at the moment) because I short massively (see my turnover), actively, selectedly and very short-term (hours or days) to counter downturns. I also get it wrong sometimes, hence my peaks and valleys. I hope to improve but this market is very rocky recently.

Al, here is Kachings backup policy direct from their policies and procedures thought it might make a good weekend read for you.
The Bombadieer
Part VIII. BACKUP PROCEDURES AND BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLAN A. Backup Procedures. The Firm’s electronic records are stored and accessible through computing and data storage facilities provided as a service to the Firm by Central Host, Inc. (“Central”). The Firm’s agreement with Central provides that, in the event of internet or service failure, Central will immediately relocate the Firm’s computing and data storage to a different location operated by Central and Central maintains continual back-up of all data. B. Business Continuity Plan. The Firm and its Employees will take the actions specified below in the event of the following disruptions: 1. Offices inaccessible. Employees will work at home using their home computers and telephones or at another centralized location. They will document all transactions and communications on their home computers and save to the computing and data storage provider, to the extent it is available or to the appropriate Firm system when it is accessible. 2. Computer or server failure. Employees will use records from IB to reconstruct Virtual Portfolio and Customer account activity and holdings, trade information and communications with Geniuses, Customers, brokers, custodians and others, and will document all transactions and communications by hand and keep all paperwork so information can be entered into appropriate system at a later time. a. Geniuses. Geniuses are required by agreement to log in to the Firm’s website at least one time each week (including each Sunday through Saturday), to confirm that he or she has connectivity and is actively engaged in managing his or her Virtual Portfolio. 3. Failure of IB mission critical systems. a. Maintain all daily statements for Customer Accounts received from IB for the period from the beginning of the month in which the failure occurs to the date of the failure. b. Document all transactions for each portfolio on the Firm’s stored data so information can be entered when IB’s systems are functional. c. If problem continues for more than a week, the CCO will determine whether it may be necessary to move Customer Accounts to a new custodian.

For those interested, CNBC has a documentary on KO tonight, "Coca-Cola: The Real Story Behind the Real Thing". http://www.cnbc.com/id/33307309There's been recent buzz on the stock of late. Seems CNBC will be adding to that. Watch for volume this week, though, to see if the momentum players actually jump in. I started buying some today as it broke above $56. The risk, though, is it will hit overhead resistance at the 2008 highs around $58-$60. There was an analyst on Fast Money today calling for $62. If it hits that level it could run much higher though as that will be new highs. All remains to be seen of course.

Al, Thanks again for responding. you seem to be the only one who cares enought to respond. I email support and they said make a post on the message board. Well I did do that. It does say at the top of my Yahoo page when I am on this app to sign out. I can buy and trade stocks on this app as it is when i click the option to do that (when I am in the black for money..LOL). I do not know if there is another way to sign in and out for this app other than from my Yahoo page. Still don't see the +- on my screen. Thank you for helping me.

Kraft is going to be in the news over the next couple of weeks. Earnings are due next Tuesday (Nov 3) after the close. And the November 9 deadline offer for Cadbury is also looming, i.e. will they go hostile, continue to negociate or just walk away?
All that has to be kept in mind for people looking at KFT. We could see volatility over the next couple of weeks. I'm short a full position in KFT as we head into Tuesday's earnings.
