Tom - how is the best way for me to follow your trades but with a 5K total portfolio value? What would be a similar trade to your buy of 100,000 shares of PGH at $9.58
Thanks
Drew

Add more to GDXJ! These small cap gold and silver miners will explode as investors are looking for a bargin, and large cap gold and silver miners begin buying these companies out.
Nice portfolio, by the way.

Tom,
I understand what your saying about the upside on owning juniors, I own a few myself, although none of them are producing yet. Most importantly International Tower Hills Mining THM. They are constantly releasing improved drill results and expanding their proven and inferred reserves. I am looking for them and Northern Dynasty Minerals NAK to both be bought out by the seniors. I am trying to keep this portfolio solely stocks with an interest in Alaska though, so unless a company is actively doing business up here I am staying away from them.
Remember if you cant grow it, you have to mine it.

Tom, whats your thought on shorting GDXJ while holding gold stocks for the long term? Sort of a hedge against the price of gold going up too much. Im thinking it makes sense for me, as I believe gold to be overvalued at the moment and am long on gold mining.

Tom, I am NEVER married to any thesis or position. The world changes and so do I. The push/pull in the market right now is very obvious: deflation vs. inflation...today's best investments can be tomorrow's worst investments...the question I have is can the government kick the can down the road I do no think the private sector is ready to take over for the public sector's spending...my contention Tom is this time is different with regards to the consumer...the decrease in private sector credit is very alarming to me... take a gander at this article: http://www.zerohedge.com/article/guest-post-dear-prudence-wont-you-come-out-playIf I ever come to the let's kill the dollar and buy commodites...I will simply be renting the equities not owning them
