I wish you the best of luck, Jerry ( I really mean that). I would be afraid to short anything in this juiced up market.

Markets are on fire this morning. Not only is it "Mutual Fund Monday" but it's much more of a dollar trade if you ask me. I'm looking at various markets and everything that is denominated in U.S. dollars is up. Gold , silver, the Euro, British Pound, Canadian dollar, you name it...

I can't believe silver, for example, is close to $20. It was like $12 not too long ago. Those are 50% moves. Unbelievable.

@Al,

They mint 1,000 ou. gold bars. In which case you could probably buy a 5,000-10,000 sq.ft. house with change leftover in most states using a single bar.

Probably true, lol.

@Al
Not a bunch of bars. You'd actually get change from a single standard gold bar!

David Fletcher wrote "Some interesting ratios!

Gold currently costs about $1,150 an ounce. The average house sits at just above $292,600. That means it takes an equivalent of about 254 ounces to buy the average house."

That's kind of funny. I can just picture people showing up to a real estate agent's office with a bunch of bars in their pockets. :-)
